As a Cyprus-born, Berlin-based visual artist, I explore the fundamental qualities of photography through experimental techniques and create perceptual manipulations within-camera.
During this practice, I primarily focus on creating concrete images and patterns by manipulating the camera through movement while it captures light.By intentionally moving the camera, I also transform ordinary scenes into abstract landscapes that blur the distinction between objective reality and subjective perception. As I deconstruct visual certainty, creating images that exist in the liminal space between what is seen and what is understood. While challenging conventional perceptions, I aim to explore critical questions: What does the mind perceive from what's seen? Is there more to reality beyond what's perceived?
Spanning both experimental photography and documentary projects, my work explores the complex layers of human perception and aims to expose the subtle mechanisms that construct our understanding of social and political narratives.
